In 2010, the Honey Brook Presbyterian Church celebrated our 175th anniversary. We were founded in 1835 by members of the Forks of the Brandywine Presbyterian Church, when its membership grew to over 700. Twenty seven new members were received into the new church. Our first installed pastor was Rev. William W. Latta, who served here from 1836 through 1858.
For those of you interested, we have a historical book written by Margaret Eppiheimer, a long time member of this congregation and now a member of the Church Triumphant.
We are aware of our history, but we do not place our history at the forefront of the ministry. We know that the best days of our ministry are always ahead of us. God has acted in our lives, God is acting in our lives and God will continue to act in our lives. We are always considering what God is calling us to do and to be, and we invite you on this journey as well.
